Backed by a multi-national public organization. They are now growing an AI and Robotics R&D team in Santa Clara, CA.
The role
Our autonomy team is working on state-of-the-art artificial intelligence techniques, providing the best-in-class computer vision solutions for the drone system. We are looking for people who are passionate about robotics, with a background of deep learning, computer vision, machine learning, have solid development skills, and strong ability to solve challenging problems and advance state-of-the-art solutions. Your work will be deployed and running on all various drones our partner and you will have an opportunity to work with world first-class researchers and engineers to develop elite UAVs.
The Individual
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of the SLAM algorithm for tightly coupled fusion of multi-source information.
MS and 2+ years of experience in SLAM or multi-sensor fusion algorithms;
2+ years of experience in the development of localization and mapping related algorithms, Visual-SLAM, VIO or Lidar localization
Understanding of camera's multi-view geometry
Familiar with State Estimation and nonlinear optimization methods and be able to design suitable algorithms according to different scenarios and requirements
Have a solid foundation in probability theory, linear algebra and space geometry
Experience with C++/Python, Ceres, g2o, etc.
Experience in multi-sensor fusion, and experience in inertial navigation, GPS, vision, lidar and other sensor fusion algorithms.
