Machine Learning Engineer, NLP - AI startup - Series B
Bay Area, CA (hybrid)
$150-200k base salary plus equity.
The Company
The company are a successful Series B startup who have an existing revenue generating product within the virtual office space. The are now looking to accelerate the deployment of recent breakthroughs within AI with a goal of automating all knowledge work.
The firm have over $50m in funding.
The role
You will be a core contributor to the company's new product - a generalist AI assistant. You will be responsible for the building and training of NLP models. You'll work closely with the Product team and the rest of the Engineering team to deliver these models into production.
You will work with Large Language Models, Transformer Networks and large datasets within a cloud environment.
The Individual
As the ideal candidate you will have the following skill and experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science.
- 3+ years of professional experience within NLP, including applying predictive models.
- Strong programming skills (Python, SQL or similar).
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLM's) and Transformer Networks professionally.
- ML Ops experience engineering experience in React/Next.js/Typescript.
- Strong experience in a modern cloud environment (any platform).
- Ability to thrive in a start-up type environment and communicate effectively.
