The Company

Our client is a Fortune 100 construction equipment manufacturer, which is also the largest manufacturer of construction equipment in the world. Our client is looking for an Architect of software engineering background with strong C++ skill for their autonomy localization team.

The Role

As the Localization & Mapping Architect, you'll research, prototype and bring to production algorithms that enable autonomous & semiautonomous systems to estimate their position and attitude to terrain features, static or mobile equipment. The Architect will also work with senior level technology strategists, mentor junior engineers, and have design input to current and future technologies and strategies and have input on how to build the team and lead them as the technology evolves over time.

The Individual

As the ideal candidate you will have the following skill and experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience relates to field of autonomous system
• Or Masters/PhD with 10 years of experience relates to field of autonomous system
• Highly skilled in C++
• Good to have experience of SLAM, ROS or Python
