Qualified candidate should have at least ten (10) years’ experience in all aspects of engineering design, project management with client, design team and public agencies from concept through construction. Must have strong communication skills and preferably registered as a Civil Engineer in California. Graduated from a 4-year university. Licensed and/or knowledge of survey and mapping is preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
• Organize, schedule, and supervise a project team over multiple projects
• Prepare contract scope & fees and monitor budgets for projects
• Experience in grading, drainage, hydrology/hydraulics
• Experience in design of street, sewer, water, and storm drain plans.
• Experience in LID/stormwater management design and calculations
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D surfaces and points is preferred
Knowledge of the following is required:
• California Building Code
• ADA accessibility standards
• NPDES MS4 requirements
• Hydrology and hydraulics
• Retaining wall structures
• Local agency planning, engineering, map recordation and construction processes
• Los Angeles policies in hillside developments and community plans
• QSD/QSP and SWPPP procedures
• 2022 CBC
