We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to help build and scale the systems that power our data labeling platform. You’ll play a key role in managing the full lifecycle of data—from ingestion to delivery—supporting cutting-edge machine learning and perception systems.
What You’ll Do

Build and own backend services, APIs, and databases that support large-scale data pipelines

Develop and scale data processing and labeling workflows for high-volume sensor data (LiDAR, camera, radar)

Integrate with external vendors and internal tools to ensure seamless data flow across systems

Implement automated QA and validation processes to maintain high-quality datasets

Partner with ML and Perception teams to deliver data solutions that directly impact model performance

Improve labeling efficiency by introducing automation and ML into annotation workflows
What You Bring

3+ years of experience in backend or software engineering

Strong Python skills, including experience with frameworks like FastAPI or similar

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design

Experience with relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL) and ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy)

Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

Experience working with cloud storage (AWS S3, GCS, etc.)
Nice to Have

Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Argo)

Background in distributed systems or large-scale data platforms

Experience with big data tools like Spark or PyArrow

Exposure to 3D sensor data (point clouds, sensor fusion)

Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or ML-heavy environments
