Position Overview
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support to client retail locations across Palm Beach and Broward Counties. This role involves installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining retail IT and peripheral equipment while delivering excellent customer service and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities

Install, service, diagnose, and repair retail technology and computer equipment

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues to minimize store downtime

Support equipment including POS registers, self-checkout systems, printers (thermal and laser), scanners, PCs, thin clients, phone systems, RF devices, networking, cabling, pharmacy, photo, and clinic equipment

Travel between Client locations to perform on-site service and installations

Manage workload, inventory, documentation, and administrative tasks independently

Follow all safety, compliance, and operational procedures

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technologies, tools, policies, and procedures

Provide professional and courteous customer service to store staff

Assist neighboring service areas when needed
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Technical school training or equivalent hands-on IT/field service experience

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with computer hardware and basic software applications

Excellent verbal communication, listening, and customer service skills

Ability to work independently with strong organizational and follow-up skills

Must have a reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting equipment (two-seater vehicles not acceptable)

Must reside in Palm Beach County (No candidates outside the county)
