Pay Rate: $70-95 per hour (W2 or equivalent, no benefits)

Role overview

The front-end infrastructure team is seeking a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in front-end verification flows, tools, and methodologies. The role involves deep technical work across multiple verification platforms, with a strong focus on regression management, tool deployment, and collaboration with external EDA tool providers.

Key responsibilities
  • Design, support, and continuously improve complex, scalable, and efficient front-end verification flows for large projects.

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of flow-based regression systems and ensure they keep pace with evolving project requirements.

  • Lead day-to-day regression management, including setup, monitoring, and refinement of automated regressions and interactive user workflows.

  • Own triage of regression results, including debugging failures, investigating coverage gaps, and driving fixes to maintain flow stability and reliability.

  • Act as a primary escalation point for issues involving major simulation and verification tools, providing advanced debugging and troubleshooting support.

  • Coordinate with external EDA tool representatives to resolve issues, drive escalations, and maintain productive technical relationships.

  • Deploy, integrate, and support tools used for RTL architecture and ensure they interface cleanly with front-end verification flows.

  • Maintain and refine version control workflows, leveraging deep experience with modern distributed and centralized systems to support complex multi-repo environments.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent advanced degree with commensurate experience.

  • Demonstrated experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting front-end design verification flows and CAD infrastructure for large-scale, high-performance silicon or similar projects.

  • Strong background in flow-based regression management, including expertise in debugging regression failures and coverage-related issues.

  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard digital simulation and verification tools, plus tools used for RTL architectural analysis and configuration.

  • Advanced knowledge of modern version control systems, including distributed workflows and interoperability between different systems.

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating directly with external tool providers or partners to resolve technical issues and optimize tool usage.

  • Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to complex problem-solving.
