Generalist Developer (Python Scripting & Computer Graphics) - Remote (USA)

The Company

We are partnered with a leader in top-of-the-line automotive stock photography. Owning the most robust image database of consumer production vehicles in the United States, they are a leader in their field. A privately held company focused on VR and 3D images with a passionate team of top industry talent.

This can be based anywhere in the USA on a remote basis but will require twice per year travel to company events.

The Role

In this role you will be focused on scripting tools, interfaces and Ftrack layouts for the Computer Graphics team. The team is currently migrating from Shotgrid to Ftrack and so you will assist with moving the functionality and will work with stakeholders in production, data, development, and IT departments to support and facilitate pipeline and general graphics needs.

You will be developing tools, systems and automation as well as creating streamlined UI/UX for standalone projects. There will also be an element of technical support required for both systems and tools - you will manage and troubleshoot the scripts and workflow of the pipeline process. Additionally, you will need to be able to document all tools, systems, processes and scripts (python).

The Individual

To be successful in this role you will need experience with the following:

  • 3+ years experience in Python Scripting
  • 3+ years Technical Computer Graphics experience in a production environment in a generalist capacity
  • Experience in Computer Graphics workflow automation and/or with creating production management solutions.
  • Interest and ability to learn new programs, languages, and frameworks.
  • Create generalised approaches to automation needs
  • Experience with content creation/management packages such as Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Ftrack, and Shotgrid
