The Company
Our client, is a cutting-edge transmedia company, creating a new genre of live streaming - MILEs, Massive Interactive Live Events. They are globally expanding, & scaling teams in California, New York, Washington, Montreal, Tokyo, and Berlin! They are the first broadcasting solution built for live streaming, unleashing a unique streaming experience for the audience to feel like they are part of the action!
The role
As an experienced Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation of development designed for the client's needs. This position will manage a team of mature Full-stack developers, and provide technical expertise and leadership for major projects within video game deployment. You will be working closely with the Technical Project Manager, Development Manager, and Services Director to ensure priorities, and standards are communicated across the team. You'll have domain expertise in web development technologies such as React, JavaScript, Node.js and AWS.
The Individual
As the ideal candidate you will have the following skill and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or any related field
- Minimum 8+ years of software development experience
- Minimum 3+ years of management experience
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure or GCP
- Hands-on experience in web technologies like Node.js, React.js or similar frameworks, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python
- Prior gaming industry experience is strongly preferred
