Director of Engineering - US Hybrid/Remote - Fast-Growing NGS Diagnostics Company, Up To $400k Base+ Equity
The Company
We have been working with our client for the past 2 years. This established startup is within NGS and Diagnostics. They have already had success in the sectors of: food safety, microbiomes, clinical diagnostics (several CLIA Labs set up), Covid. This is an opportunity to join a small, expanding team and a high impact role where you work with innovative tech stack.
The Role
You will manage a team of engineers, drive organization improvements while working with other Directors and Engineering managers. You will work closely with the company's leadership team to make sure your goals are aligned with the company goals. Empower your teams to improve their performance, the quality of their work; focus on outcomes. Mentor and guide Engineering Managers. You will also work closely with Recruiting - in particular, interview candidates and co-own activities related to lead generation and screening candidates

The Individual
As the ideal candidate you will have the following skill and experience:
- 10+ years managing software engineering teams
- 5+ years project management experience
- Experience building engineering teams
- BS, MS, or PHD in Computer Science or related technical fields
